Astella Development Corporation (Astella) and Brooklyn Community Services (BCS) are presenting the 25th Anniversary Coney Island Sand Sculpting Contest, Saturday, August 15, 2015 on Coney Island's historic boardwalk. This FREE*, family-friendly event is open to amateurs and semi-professional sand sculpting artists of all ages competing for cash prizes and bragging rights.
Over the years, the Coney Island Sand Sculpting Contest has attracted thousands of attendees from around the world.

Astella Development Corporation and Brooklyn Community Services partnered to host this year's Coney Island Sand Sculpting Contest and raised funds to support individuals and families impacted by Superstorm Sandy. There are many people in Coney Island who still need help. All donations and sponsorships in support of the Coney Island Sand Sculpting Contest benefit individuals and families still recovering from Superstorm Sandy.
