Creative Curriculum

The Early Learning Center utilizes the Creative Curriculum to develop and implement lesson plans each week that meet the learning needs of each age group. Regular observation on each child's progress is documented to assess stages of development -  enabling teachers to give a nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment in which children learn and grow.

The Creative Curriculum® approach has been used widely in children's programs throughout the United States.  Its stated mission is to "enhance the quality of early childhood programs by offering the highest quality curriculum materials, training programs, parenting resources, and staff development services that are practical, developmentally appropriate, responsive to the needs of the field, and reflect the most innovative thinking".

High / Scope Curriculum

High / Scope serves children from diverse backgrounds and with special needs.  Classrooms incorporate materials and experiences reflective of homes and communities.  Parents are encouraged to attend curriculum workshops, participate in the classroom and extend children's learning at home.  Program staff link families with community services.
